A lesser known development by famous developer Gerald Hines, the Carousel Office Park consists of one massive structure broken up into three connected buildings. The structure was originally built with only two, but a third building for office space was added less than ten years later. All three are poured concrete with banded windows wrapping the near rectangular plan. Thin glass hallways extend from the exterior stairwells, connecting the buildings and creating cozy green entries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The building was built as a state of the art research and development space for Natick-based Prime computer and is one of the many massive complexes that cover the area along Old Connecticut Path and Speen St. It gets its name from the Framingham Carousel Theater, a large theatrical tent and music venue on the site that hosted music legends like Jim Hendrix, the Supremes and Led Zepplin.
